The Director of Construction leads the Field Operations and works in partnership with our Project Management team to build a safe, high quality, on schedule, profitable projects throughout their region. The Director of Construction role is key to fostering great client relations and developing our employees.

CS Energy project sites are located nationally, and the Director of Construction must be open to travel and working 100% at our project sites.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Passionately builds the team by attracting, interviewing, assessing, mentoring, and retaining Top PerformersDevelop Career paths for Foreman, Superintendents, and General Superintendents with relation to training and career plans to advance internally, review employee performance and assignments on as needed basisProvides on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesLeads and enforces the safety policies and procedures and addresses non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors, and vendorsLeads and enforces the Quality Management System. Recognizes any potential patterns of rework, and develops solutions to eliminate itPerforms or oversees fundamental project management practices such as construction progress tracking, progress & financial forecasting, document management, problem solving, dispute resolution, design troubleshooting, and value engineeringLeads the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager and ensures the team is executing to the plan; develops a derivative four-week lookahead schedules that facilitates the project's daily progress, communicates it to all and balances resources to make sure the schedule is metSummarize regions status for regional executive managers who report to board of directors on a weekly/monthly basisWorks labor strategies for the region including maintaining dialogue with union leaders to maximize efficiency and marginWorks to beat the project cost budget; Implements effective cost controls over subcontractors, material, equipment, and other related expendituresEnsures the Project Team is trained on planning, surveying, plan reading, productivity, efficiency, economical crew size, quality workmanship, and safety to ensure projects are constructed expeditiously and profitablyUtilizes daily huddles to promote communication, resolve issues and share ideas, so the projects are constructed expeditiously and profitablyKnows the key terms and conditions of the Prime Contract with the Owner; identifies and communicates deviations accordinglyKnows the key operational details of the subcontract and holds the subcontractors accountable to their agreement and the company's standardsContribute to project estimates as needed throughout entire lifecycle of the regions projectsThis position is field based and includes traversing between our project construction sitesRequirements10+ years of relevant construction industry experience, with progressively greater responsibility10+ years overseeing self-perform work with several crews across various projects totaling 150 craft persons and equipment operators or more, prior experience as a Foreman and/or Master Electrical License a plusExceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead a diverse group of individualsSuccessfully led relatively complex construction projects with diverse scopes and aggressive schedulesSuperb customer service skillsRobust knowledge of various areas of construction (electrical, earthwork, utilities, structures, mechanical, etc.

A reasonable estimate of the range for this role is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's experience and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to CS Energy's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
