Superintendent - Commercial Building Salary: $165k + Attractive Benefits Location: Houston & DallasTHE BUSINESS:Hamilton Mayer is partnering with a top 15 ENR rated organisation with a reputation for building quality. As such, they are going through a phase of expansion and are seeking talent to assist with the delivery of some quite complex projects that need assistance on the ground.
The Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. Applicants will be responsible for supervising field labour force, ensure close liaison with commercial teams. This position will command strong leadership qualities, along with excellent time management/organisational skills, as well.
It is expected successful applicants will be outstanding at communicating at all levels.ROLE:Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labour force and commercial teamsReview and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with senior team members in operationsBe the face of the company when dealing with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer. Reputation is everything in this industryDevelop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with senior operations teamsLiaise and coordinate site testing and inspection effortsMonitor costs analysis, including labour time, materials and subcontractorsManage self-perform features of work, providing exceptional serviceEnsure an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring othersResponsible for managing all schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of planned completion datesBe present and participate in project delivery meetings, including subcontractor meetingsSupports with Preconstruction/Estimating phase of the project to ensure best result of the projectVerify final record drawings are accurateMobilises the site and organises necessary site utilitiesAssures necessary permits are secured and inspections occurReviews and verifies all Requests for Information (RFIs)Oversees submittals for processingAssesses cost reports to assure they reflect accurate quantities and work put in placeAbout Hamilton Mayer InternationalHamilton Mayer International is a leading executive search and selection business.
